Women’s Swimwear & Some Weighty Issues

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

The season of sun, surf and sand brings happiness for some but nervous pangs for others. Yes we’re talking about summers and the weighty issues that make many women feel the jitters about wearing a swimsuit. But when women’s swimwear has become so fashionably advanced and there is a thing such as ‘plus size designer swimwear’ existing then why do woman with a little extra on the bone still cringe at the thought of adorning sexy swimwear?

Women’s swimwear in fabulous designs is usually available in all sizes from small to large and even XL.  But that just solves only some part of the problem. Sometimes even plus size swimwear can’t resolve those burden-on-the-head weighty issues. Along with wearing your own size it’s also about wearing a bikini that does not make you look fat.

And what does not make you look fat will obviously make you look better. :)

Fuller bust? Voluptuous is always in so be happy! Thank god for the curves. However, before you revel in too much glory, let us tell you that fuller busts and triangle tops are not the best combination.  Bandeaus and square neck bikini tops may look just perfect! Even strapless bikini tops would look stunning.

Belly troubles? Too much flab for comfort on the belly? Go for flattering one piece swimsuits. Wearing a two piece will draw all the attention on the area you wanted ignored. Also please leave alone the low-rise and choose high waist-ed classic swimwear to tuck it all in. Retro may be the way to go too.

Heavy on the hip? Don’t worry because boy cut bikini bottoms and boy briefs are there to rescue! Skimpy bottoms won’t be of much help in turning on the heat.

Women’s designer swimwear does not have to be a nightmare if you choose not for your heart but for your body and weight.

Killer Swimwear Bod – Part I

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Getting the killer swimwear bod does not mean a killing workout or a starving session!

Women’s swimwear with it’s super sexy teeny bikinis, low cuts, plunges, scoop necks, Brazilian cut bottoms and other silhouettes are playing the devil and the summer season is adding it’s own fuel to the fire. So what do you do? Close your eyes and simply pray to let the season pass by beach-less or without swimwear? Or may be pray so that you can get into the bikini of your dreams!

Our suggestion, praying won’t help unless it is accompanied by fat burning workouts and the ‘E’ word – Exercise! So it’s time to get up and before binging on designer swimwear you better start the much delayed workout, if not for yourself then for the bikini that has been dying to drape your beautiful self in it!

But first let’s wash away the myths that may be keeping you from kick-starting your workout!

Myth #1 – Getting a swimwear bod does not mean you starve yourself and join the anorexic club. The whole idea about a swimwear workout is not to lose curves and shapes but retain them. A curvy figure with contours is what will the swimwear has to accentuate.

Myth #2 – Size zero isn’t the only species allowed to wear swimwear. Ladies please take this ridiculous notion out your heads. Women of any shape and size can adorn a designer bikini/ swimsuit and look stunning and hot! Don’t waste time thinking about it.

Myth #3 – A minimum of two hour workout is required to get that perfect shape! Yeah may be if you wanted to win a bikini bod contest – guess not even for that!

We leave you with this much to think it over! Come back because the quick fat burning tips are following up right next!

Swimwear 2010 Trends – Less or More?

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Swimwear trends for the summer 2010 do not seem to be too modest, shy or about underplaying. 2010 swimwear is not just about bikinis, one pieces, cover ups, dresses, it’s also about sheer swimwear (remember the reveal all or some kind of bikinis), skimpy tankinis and other breathtaking swimsuits and bikinis.

The Mercedes Benz Fashion Week showed that none of the designer swimwear labels are taking the 2010 swimwear season to be only another. The stakes are high and the race to the top is intense! From great color themes to great risque in swimwear designs, women’s swimwear for summer 2010 features a lot of excitement and real revolution.

Let’s take a quick look at what’s less and what is in heaps in 2010 swimwear collection:

  • Color me allDesigner swimwear is definitely not taking chances with going simple. So there’s definitely less of   simple pastels and sandy colors. And the area that women’s swimwear seems most innovative is the color choice. 2010 swimwear is a color riot! Kaleidoscopic, mosaics, dots, and all the colors of summer are splashed on sexy silhouettes making them hotter than ever.
  • Mix n Match – With plain out of the picture, mix ‘n’ match prints – especially graphic prints are ruling the runaways and the beaches. Simple solids are not ‘the’ swimsuits.
  • Canny Cutouts – Unconventional cuts, plunging necklines, asymmetrical cuts and holes in swimwear are more than ever! Adding loads of style and catty appeal, these cuts are just too hot.
  • Neck & Shoulders – As there is more skin, there’s more shoulder and neck. Strapless bandeaus, one shoulder, plunging neck lines are reinforcing the less is more mantra!

There is loads of sexy, gorgeousness, rebel and art in 2010 women’s swimwear collection. Shop for the latest designer swimwear collection at Molly Brown’s swimwear store and be part of the 2010 swimwear revolution!

Women’s Swimwear Dilemma – To Tan or Not to Tan

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

Since women’s swimwear first came to the fore along came a plethora of surprises. Women became pleasantly surprised with this new beachwear that liberated them and made beach visits fun and fashionable. And men were elated for reasons we all know and need not list.

Since then and now when women’s swimwear, resort wear and or shape wear (whatever the nouveaux noms) has transformed so much (not only in terms of being bold, daring & full of oomph), there are still certain things that haven’t changed like the dilemma  every woman thinking of buying women’s swimwear faces – the dreaded and sometimes loved tan lines.

Swimwear bikinis and swimsuits with straps, neck and back ties and even halters all get tan lines. Strapless swimwear on the other hand gets you a through tan with no irregular lines or blotches. So we have both the scenarios in front and now the question arises, whether to choose straps and ties swimwear or the strapless one for a regular tan.

Let’s see what are the pros and cons of choosing either kind of women’s swimwear:

  • Going for swimwear bikinis and swimsuits with straps and ties sure means a great variety to choose from and for some the tan lines are pretty sexy too.
  • Swimwear bikinis without straps look sexy but apart from the bandeau and off shoulder styles there are not many too choose from.
  • Tan lines may not be every women’s ‘flaunt it’ and ‘win all’. But there are some who can get away with them looking as sexy as ever. When wearing bikinis with straps tan lines are inevitable and perhaps that’s why all of us accept them as part of our beauty package.
  • A through and through even tan that strapless swimwear provides looks much better than tan lines here and there.

There are tan through swimwear available these days that tan even underneath the skin. This is made possible with lightweight fabrics. The tan through bikini or swimsuit is not necessarily see-through.

Ladies the verdict still lies with you – Will the love for sexy designer swimwear override the love for even tan?  Just make sure that whatever you choose should be in your best interest. When the sun is high, the bikinis and swimwear can’t be down and wrong; women’s designer swimwear means sexy women with or without the tan lines.
