Bikini Style Guide for Different Body Types

Is bikini fashion your passion? Then you got to read on to get that perfect bikini for your body!

How often have you wished you knew the secret formula to find the perfect swimwear as you go dead on your feet marching along the lanes to pick the right designer swimwear piece? If your instant reaction is ‘most of the times’, then consider your search over, this is the article for you! Primarily it’s more about knowing the body type that you are blessed with and then selecting a bikini that complements your torso perfectly.

Go ahead and match your body type with the ideal style, read on:

  • Hourglass figure – Lucky you! Sport anything on the beach and you can easily cruise through looking gorgeous and sexy. However, bandeau or a triangle top would look the best.
  • Pear Shape – Bigger rear and comparatively smaller shoulder or bosom. Bandeau, plunging neck line or a halter would make you look stunning. You can consider opting for molded or padded cups as well. Avoid wearing high waist bikini bottoms.
  • Apple Shape – When you have a little extra on your upper body as in the tummy or the bosom but incredible legs then you are apple shaped and so the mantra is to show off. Go for halter neck, tankini, darker colors, ruched or criss cross styles. Horizontal stripes are a big no no for an apple shape body type.

  • Petite Figure – If you are lesser than 5′3 or at it, plunging necklines, high cut bikini bottoms and halter neck will do wonders to your appeal. Over-sized prints and straps should be strictly shunned.
