However, not finding lingerie like the one that matched their sense of style and passion for distinct essences in clothes, Ali and Mariela, colleagues at a global advertising agency, came up with the Eberjey designs. Their venture set out to fill this void by creating pretty underthings that flattered real bodies and felt good too.
Ali who was at a loss of finding the perfect underwear for her flat-bottomed self, joked about designing lingerie for women like herself someday. When the day finally arrived, the whole world took note and made the “Boy Short” a must-have item in lingerie drawers everywhere. The real story was yet to unfold still and it was far from what the duo had imagined. From Boy-shorts to thongs, bra-lets, camis, the brand, graduated to loungewear, pajamas, swimwear and more. Women's verdict was a 100% yes to the “girly-sexy-comfy” style and look of Eberjey swim dresses, bikinis and lingerie items.
