Kirsti Grinna was born with a passion for design. The daughter of renowned swimsuit designer Tara Grinna, Kirsti must have inherited a great deal of talent because at the tender age of 14 she debuted her first collection under the KGB label (initials standing for Kirsti Grinna Bikinis, while also hinting at a theme based on a controversial Russian past) and hit the industry with an unexpected blast. Her Miami runway show was packed with buyers and featured models wearing very modern bikinis with Russian KGB hats and fur boots walking and often times marching to Russian beats. Her unique approach was so different and alluring that she literally became an overnight success, and if you think you have seen this image before - you have. A suit from her first collection, as well as her concept of pairing bikini with fur accessories was featured in the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, an honor equivalent to receiving an Oscar in the world of swimsuit design. KGB was also featured on their television show, The Making of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model, making her the youngest designer ever to receive such an honor.

Within three years of the launch of KGB, she debuted another label that was equally successful and featured once again on the website of Sports Illustrated. This newer label, Kirsti Grinna Collection is a more upscale, luxurious version offering Italian specialty fabrics and unique hardware and linings that are truly elegant and sophisticated for the "jet set" customer who demands the best in modern and chic designer swimwear.

KGB has kept to its original focus by offering bold, edgy, graphic prints and bright solids to the junior/contemporary customer. Both collections offer styles from tiny Brazilian "barely there" cuts to fuller covering silhouettes.  Sizes range from XS to XL and D-cup tops.
