Huntington Beach is the epitome of laid back, California cool. With its mile long beaches and ocean breeze that never stops blowing, it manages to encompass everything a city has to offer while still maintaining its small beach town feel. The brand new Pacific City shopping center opened about a year ago. Right on the second level, with its spanning views of the Pacific Ocean, is Molly Brown’s Swimwear. This store is the latest addition to the Molly Brown’s family and was opened in May of 2016. There are four Molly Dolls at the Huntington Beach store Tyler, Claire, Nikki, and Amy. This post dives deeper into their favorite brands, restaurants, and things to do in their free time.
The Huntington Beach store is the biggest location of them all so picking a favorite suit is no easy task with so many to choose from. Boys + Arrows, Stone Fox Swim, Blue Life, and L*Space are some of the Molly Dolls favorites. Tyler loves anything that accentuates her curves and adds some sex appeal. The Bad News Beck 1pc by Boys + Arrows does just that! It is super flattering and has a great low cut razorback design to show some skin. One trend that has formed this year in swimwear this year is bikini tops that tie in the front. Claire loves that look! The Hana top by Stone Fox Swim paired with the Malibu bottoms is the perfect mix of girly, pretty, sexy, but still classy. One pieces are also making a come back. However, they are not anything like they used to be. The new designs include low backs, deep v fronts, lace up detailing, and cutouts. They are statement pieces but are also practical in the water. Blue Life has the Roped Up 1pc that has been flying off the shelves this year. It is no question why it’s Amy’s favorite. It has textured fabric with completely lace up sides that make it adjustable and super easy to wear. It is a sexy suit that can also double as a bodysuit with a pair of jeans or even denim cut offs. L*Space makes great suits season after season. Their color blocking is always really unique. Nikki loves the Platinum top and Charlie bottom in the Fog Grey color that is trimmed in white. It is gorgeous and the colors look great on tanned skin.
Pacific City has so many great places to eat and lounge about why staring into the sunset. There is everything from BBQ to sushi. Ola is right across the way from Molly Brown’s. It is a Mexican cantina with the most beautiful ocean views. Tyler might be a little biased when choosing her favorite restaurant due to convenience but the chips and salsa are amazing. She is also a big fan of the El Dragon margarita from Ola. Tequila + Watermelon = heaven! Bear Flag is THE place to go for poke and fish tacos. It was started in Southern California and gives off the laid back vibe while serving sushi grade tuna and salmon. Claire always goes there because who doesn’t love eating fish tacos with an ocean view? To keep with the sushi theme… Amy loves to eat at Sushi on Fire. It is just a quick jump from Pacific City over to Main St. They have so many appetizers and countless rolls to choose from. The Bungalow at Pacific City is known as the number one place to go out in Huntington Beach. Little do people know, they serve food there and it’s from Bear Flag. The Bungalow sits right above Bear Flag so the food is just brought up to all the customers. Nikki loves The Bungalow because it has great drinks and great vibes.
In their free time they loves to get out in the sunshine and have a variety of different hobbies. Tyler loves to getaway to Hawaii when she can and escape California. She enjoys having a fun long day at the beach and capping it off with a bonfire, smores, and hanging with her friends. Claire loves to go up to Napa Valley to clear her head and spend some days just purely relaxing. Her favorite beach besides Huntington is Santa Monica. It’s perfect for a fun little day trip! Sometimes you have to escape the warm beach weather and head up to the snow. Amy has been skiing since she was 3 years old. She loves to hit the powder! She loves to go up to the Sequoia National Park for some quality isolation and crisp mountain air. In Southern California there are no shortage of beautiful beaches and places to explore and get lost in for a day. Laguna Beach is Nikki’s go to spot to take pretty photos for her Instagram and lay in the sun.
The Pacific City shipping center is a great place to come spend the day. It is just steps away from the sand. Come by anytime and meet our Huntington Beach Molly Dolls.
